Project
Particulars
-
The
first school village designed by Architectural
Services Department and the first awarded Design and
Build package for structural system design.
3 standard (2000 Design) 30-classroom primary
schools, 1 standard (2000 Design) secondary school
with a elevated deck structure, 2 tensioned fabric
structures for basketball court and spectator stand of
football field, covered walkway in carparking space
and landscaping areas.
-
Use
of perforated steel girders supporting an aluminum
alloy standing seam insulated roof cladding system for
the roof of secondary school.
-
Scheduled
Area No.5 with a 2m diameter DSD effluent tunnel below
ground immediately outside the western site boundary.
The southern end is bounded by a 8.5m wide
drainage and water works reserve.
The eastern end of the site extends 5m into the
60m wide Tate’s Cairn Tunnel Protection Zone.
-
Economical
foundation design with pad footing combining with
total 400nos. of vertical and raking pre-bored rock
socketted steel H-piles.
-
Use
of Epoxy coated reinforcement bars in structural slabs
subjected to continuous exposed environment and low
fire hazard areas.
-
Introducing
the design and use ‘SUPERSLAB’ semi-precast
slab system with 3-dimensional lattice girders and
fabricated by computer controlled production system.
The design caters for loading imposed during
demoulding, lifting, transportation, storage and
construction. The supporting elements and the precast
panels together with the insitu topping form a
monolithic composite floor construction.
-
Use
of cold form steel reinforcement mesh for the precast
panels and the lattice girder.
